Wheeled De-trenching Grapnel (WTG) Axle

The WTG Axle was manufactured to replace an existing axle which was end of life, it was therefore very important to ensure accuracy and tolerances were achieved as it would be used with existing wheel and de-trenching components not present during manufacture. The WTG Axle was fabricated from Hardox and welded using flux core wire. The wheel hubs were CNC machined, welded in place and then line bored for accuracy. The axle was manufactured for eventual delivery to the US Navy.
